A little piece of Ancient Greece

Every quilt has a personal story, each one has a soul and it's own silent speech.
Every time I hold a customer quilt, I imagine how carefully the other hands holded it, chose the fabrics, made cuts, sewed and pressed with a great love. Almost every quilt is done for a present for the most beloved people which is even more priceless with all the best and warmest feelings put inside.

Weather tricks

There's one thing among the others which I adore about this city - the weather changes so quickly, that you really can experience all four seasons in one day. Can you believe that these pectures were taken in a couple of hours one after another? :)

Wish you all a happy sunny/rainy day!

Customer quilt

It was a pretty miniature woman, with such a beautiful kind face and shiny eyes. Slow expressive speach, open smile, her kind attetude - I was sure I was going to make something really precial for her!

She showed me the top and I fell in love! The harmoniously picked fabrics and such a neat clear design!

She agreed with my quilting sketch and I did this:

Scrap quilt

I am that type of crafter who sees in scraps an opportunity to make something funny and unrepeatable. I love scraps - I mean I really love them. I collect strips and squares mostly, of various sizes, they are the most useful and comfortable for me to work with.
Once in several weeks I open my box with scraps and look them through, and sometimes I get so inspired, that start sewing using them :)
The latest scrap quilt I made is made totaly with bright scrap strips, sized 1'' - 3'', the cuts off of several quilts I made before, mostly Korean cotton.
I just sewed the strips together, then cut them in 10'' squares which cut in 4 triangles later and sewed together again. And of course added white sashing, which I love to use in scrappy quilts - I am sure white refreshes all colors and makes them pop out.
Look.
